Her Story

Welcome to Fancy Lacy. My name is Judith.

I am Congolese/Canadian. I landed in Canada in August 1997. I am a third child of five. Two years after we tried to settle in Quebec, we moved to Manitoba. Within five years in Canada, our last stop was “the land of the living skies.” Since then, Western Canada’s prairie has become home. These moves taught me to embrace change, food, language, and people.

My ideal world is a world filled with appreciation. I appreciate honest people with their constructive criticism. I try to surround myself with these types of people. I used to procrastinate a lot. Till I discover this…life is about taking actions, and making decisions. These days, I make my mental health a priority. I do more things that bring me joy. This is the reason I share life and interiors’ inspirations.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Hi! Was so interesting to read about you. I am South African and also travelled many of those places in Europe you did, I worked in England and loved learning about different cultures. And I too turned 30 last year. Thank you for following my blog, I am looking forward to your posts about design!
